Who isn’t into natural elegance?
Does the perfect living room always have to consist of a living room wall with matching coffee table? Definitely not, as this room shows us. Simple elegance and a lot of naturalness create a special room flair, which you can feel without even entering the room. Many objects in the same color visually blend together and that’s why the room looks so simple. The wall color, the floor with the carpet, the sofa and the lamp are all in white or cream and soothe the eye. The blanket on the sofa is cream and light gray, it also has a diamond pattern. It also fits very well into its surroundings with its color presence, but on the other hand, it brings structure to the living room, as does the vertical sofa upholstery on the backrest.
The sofa is lined by the many plants. Against the white wall, they look like sculptures and give the room much more design potential. It has a particularly nice effect if you choose different plants at different heights, or position them at different heights, as you can see on the left in the photo. On stools or wall ledges, they know how to take their place very well. If you hadn’t decorated the rest of the room in such a purist way, you wouldn’t have been able to bring in so many plants. You just have to be aware of what you want to focus on in the room. This room lives through its many green inhabitants. And just by the simple elegance.

Restrained focal point
In many homes, there is a picture above the sofa on the wall. That this is not a must, and in this case even better, shows that sometimes you have to go against the inner urge to fill gaps. If there is a huge empty wall in the house, most comments are that there would still be a picture missing. With this living room, it was approached quite differently. Here the whole living room, but in particular the sofa situation, is the picture, and the frame is represented by the plants. After all, the sofa is the central point of the living room, here people come together to end the day in the evening. This important function is appropriately appreciated here, because although it is withdrawn by the colors, it is still the center of attention.
Heavy and light colors
Small color accents can be made with the help of flower pots in the room. Here, we chose blue and light gray for the small pots, and the tall plants are in black. The black pushes the tall plants down and also gives them more stability. The black and white contrast gives the space more depth. The entire plant scene on the left, on the other hand, looks rather playful and serious and is in direct contrast to those on the other side of the sofa.
Simple elegance – what really matters?
Simple elegance is achieved primarily through a meticulous selection of furniture and objects in the room. They must be able to stand and work on their own, as well as make a statement in the overall ensemble. Elegance is created when a value is attributed to the individual objects and this value is also expressed in the room. Accordingly, great importance is attached to the materiality, workmanship and durability of the furniture.
