Black against white

What a cool atmosphere in this room, right? This is where worlds collide, namely the abstract and the geometric. Everywhere you look, you see black and white patterns. But first to the color scheme of the loft room. Almost everything is black or white in just by these patterns and the walls. There are also a few gray objects, like the desk and the knitted pouf. But if the room was only in this color scheme, you wouldn’t find it interesting and you wouldn’t feel comfortable there.

Above all, it is also something different from a normal office chair. The desk should hardly stand out visually, but show off the chair all the more. In a loft, you always see a lot of the wall and it’s never cluttered. For this reason, a massive bookshelf would not have fit there, but a delicate, ladder-like wooden shelf was chosen to achieve lightness in the room.

The two lamps in the room are made for a loft, as they too are light and simple. The hanging lamps above the work area emphasize this space and additionally match the style of the geometric patterns with their lattice wire support. The floor lamp next to the bed was also wisely chosen and, above all, smartly positioned. Why? Because the black rods, i.e. the lamp’s stand frame, is not noticeable at all in front of the black wall and so it seems as if the lampshade is floating. This also creates a nice contrast in front of the black wall and picks up the white of the wall again. So overall we can conclude: You don’t have to buy an expensive loft in New York, you can also bring this extraordinary atmosphere a bit to your home!
